Accelerated Learning Programme

During these classes, we consolidate previous learning and prepare students for exams. The lessons are designed to ensure that students become familiar with and can apply the Assessment Objectives to exam questions, both during class assessments and in their end of year exams.

Each lesson is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to achieve the top levels in English Language.

Year 11 Mock Exams: Autumn 2026

•Held before the school’s official mock exams, giving students the opportunity to study and prepare adequately in advance
•Timed early in the Autumn term to give sufficient time to develop and consolidate skills before the school mocks
•Papers are marked and levelled with individual targets, so students know exactly what to address before their school mocks

•Identify and explain the symbolism and motifs in the play
•Learn the exam answering technique for the exam questions
•Learn how to write an exam essay for full marks
